Murad Matar said, “I am happy to tell you that I have finally managed to leave Gaza with my wife, children, and parents, and resettle in South Africa.

We are now feeling happy and safe, our fears and anxieties have dissipated for the time being, and we are embarking on a new life.

We left behind everything that was destroyed: my home, my neighborhood, my work, my companies, my cars, my friends, my relatives, and every beautiful memory.

I left trying to escape with these children, searching for a better future. I left with the hope that we would have a safe future without fear, searching for a secure future for my children."
